    Bit of addition

    We’ve been working hard on our upcoming native iPhone app. While working on that, though, we’ve released quite a bit of new clothes in your closet. Check it out!

    The Last Rocket T-Shirt

    A friend of ours, Shaun Inman, is just about to release a new game The Last Rocket. It’s a game designed in the retro 8-bit style. So if you’re a fan of his, anxious for the game, or just like the design of his shirt, make sure to wear it. Grab a copy of his game for any iOS device when it comes out in the next couple of months.

    SOON: Purchase w/ Coins

    Along with our new iPhone app coming out, you’ll be able to purchase items from the closet. So make sure you’re still collecting coins by checking into spots with our web app on your iPhone.

    I declare this nation, an EightBit nation.

    Welcome to the EightBit blog! From here on the EightBit team will be using this blog to keep you guys informed and announce new features or bug fixes. To commemorate this announcement we have a new release that we’d like to share with you.

    Graphical Updates

    We’ve added a few new clothing options and added some new location backdrops…

    • Restaurant background texture has been improved.
    • Added backdrops for airports and movie theaters.
    • Added khaki pants
    • Added long sleeve shirts

    Better Tweets!

    We added a link to your EightBit profile on checkin Tweets and made the checkboxes after building a character more noticeable.

    On the horizon (coming soon)

    To all of you fine people that checked in at SXSW this year: We owe you a cowboy hat. Look for it on your awards tab soon.

    A lot of you have told us that you need a way to see more locations when checking in. We’ve heard you loud and clear and we’ve added a location search feature. Just type in the location and we’ll try and find it for you.
